It is our goal to provide extraordinary programming that meets the needs of the families we serve. Our programming aims to:

  • Celebrate each child as a unique individual
  • Foster positive self-esteem and healthy relationships
  • Expand children's knowledge and interest in the world
  • Encourage creative expression through art, dramatic play and music
  • Provide plenty of opportunity for physical activity
  • Promote learning through play
  • Increase social skills including problem solving, sharing and polite manners
  • Teach basic Christian principles

Classrooms

There's a lot going on in our classrooms. Learn all about it by visiting our classroom pages. If you're a parent, you can join your child's classroom group and receive updates and additional information specific to your child's class.

Baby Chicks

Our infant room is designed to be an inviting, safe and educational space for our infants to develop and grow.  We work closely with our parents to ensure their infants individual needs are being met each day.  Cuddle, snuggles and warmth are part of our every day routine, along with story time, small & large motor, social, and language development.  We take great strides in giving each infant the attention and love they deserve. 

Penguins

The Penguin Room accommodates for older babies and young toddlers, approximately 9 months to 16 months of age.  This program focuses on providing experiences that allow children to play and explore their environment in a safe and relaxed manner.  A variety of methods are implemented to model and help develop positive social behaviors and to promote language rich experiences.  Story times, large and small motor experiences, music and movement times are encouraged on a daily basis for age appropriate physical and cognitive growth. The children in the Penguin room will be cared for with patience and tenderness, while given the  opportunity and tools to learn and grow at their own pace.

Parrots

There’s no doubt that toddlers are a bundle of energy. But at KTK, we welcome that energy and excitement because it’s a natural part of growth, and learning. The Parrots room (ages 16-24 months)  is all about creating experiences that are active, sensory-based and meaningful.

The teachers lead the Parrots through age appropriate actives, to promote the child’s growing independence, and to enhance social skills. We also offer creative learning centers that include language and reading, construction, fine motor, dramatic play, and outdoor learning.

Peacocks

In the Peacocks room (ages 24-36 months), children learn through various hands-on activities and play. Some of the activities include teacher-directed art projects, music and movement, outside time, and circle time activities (story time, weather, talking about our day, and songs). Teachers also help to promote independence through activities such as eating, potty training, hand washing, and cleaning up after themselves. Children are also continuing to learn about taking turns, sharing, and using their words to express their feelings. 

Owlets

The Owlet class is a "get ready for Preschool class" for 2.5- to 3.5-year-olds. The program includes circle time, centers, music, movement, projects, and recess. These will encourage the development of social, emotional and cognitive skills needed to excel in Preschool.

Owls Preschool

The Owls GroupPreschool programming uses a thematic approach where children are encouraged to learn by doing. This program provides developmentally appropriate teacher-guided and child-directed activities that foster independence, creativity and cognitive growth. The various activities provide opportunities for both physical play and intellectual and social development for 3-5 year-olds.

School Age Programming (K-12 years)

School Age programming includes a variety of activities to meet the various needs of this diverse group. There are opportunities for quiet reading, "homework help," playing board games and/or video games, arts and crafts, outdoor play and exploration, conversation and snacks. This programming provides a safe and flexible structure for children who are gaining independence, yet need appropriate supervision.
